The Annual High Socie-Tea is back. Join us for an afternoon of live music, light refreshments, and a "Touch of Class." Come prepared to shop select vendors and a beautiful array of tea sets.

The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation, Inc. is a premier non-profit charitable corporation (501 (c)3). Proceeds from this event will help the foundation achieve its mission to aid, empower, educate, and extend opportunities to youth, the elderly, and women in the DC Metropolitan area. We do this through the giving of educational scholarships and providing community workshops that focus on educational, social, and leadership development.

Your ticket purchase provides:

  • Tastings of gourmet teas

  • Commemorative teacup

  • An assortment of tea confections

  • Access to top-notch vendors

  • Tickets $65 per person (plus the $2.50 processing fee)

Attire: Business, Hats encouraged gloves optional.

Shoe Size Drive Virtual Fundraiser

The Shoe Size Drive Fundraising Event is virtual and will run from August 6th - September 6th. Donate your shoe size in support of the programs and scholarships of the Yellow Tea Rose Foundation and Phi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

1. Take your shoe size and multiply by two

2. If it is a half size round up to the nearest whole number

3. Donate that amount to the drive

Example: Shoe size 8.5 round up to $9 x 2 = $18 donation

Tea sets and accessories will be made available for purchase on the day of the event.

Due to social distancing requirements in the District of Columbia over the spread of COVID-19 the High Socie-Tea event has been postponed. As soon as restrictions are lifted a new date will be publicized.

Join us for an afternoon of live music, light refreshments, and a "Touch of Class." Come prepared to shop select vendors and a beautiful array of tea sets. Early ticket purchasers have access to early catalog and purchase of tea sets at 10% before March 28, 2020.

The Golden Radiance Scholarship Gala is the premier fundraising event of the foundation including a cocktail reception, gourmet feast, lively entertainment and the opportunity to mingle with fellow leaders, and community-minded individuals. We invite you to attend, sponsor, and be recognized as we celebrate the academic achievements of deserving students and honor individuals who have made amazing strides and notable contributions in the areas of; Education, S.T.E.M, Government & Politics, Law, Arts & Humanities, and News & Entertainment.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. presents the 22 Annual Youth Symposium, "Mission Possible: A Safe Space for Our Youth. " We live in a time in which protecting our youth is imperative to survival. Equipping the youth with the skills and competencies to not only advocate for themselves but also their peers are important.

In partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington we will focus our attention on the growing issue of Human Trafficking: what to look out for, dive into the world of Social Media and its effects on Self Esteem, have a real Talk with our Area Police Officers to discuss teen interaction with law enforcement as well as their rights. Last but not least we will get up and active by hosting a Stepping demonstration, explaining what stepping is, where it started and how it's done!
